Giro d'Italia Stage 16
26 May 2003

  Petacchi and "little big" Fredy:
A festival of colors on the podium.

Alessandro Petacchi celebrates a sensational stage win that probably not even he expected.

Petacchi keeps celebrating and celebrating and celebrating again; the DP's wet cameras are thankful. ;]

Time for "mummy" Petacchi to show up in cyclamen colors as well. And to show even some of the souvenirs from Sunday's crash that the man still keeps.

Brave Colombian Fredy González Martínez (Colombia-Selle Italia Team), leader in the KOM Classification, along with two podium girls and a local politician.

Not-so-fast (but certainly very combative and a more than excellent climber) Fredy with another Green Jersey on his shoulders. Should the tiny (just compare him to Magnus "the Giant" Backstedt on the same podium) Colombian win the Mountains Competition, as it seems more than likely now, it would not be a first time for him, as the man was "pretty in green" in 2001 as well.
