VUELTA FANTÁSTICA 2004

Hi everyone, and welcome to the "4th FABIO'S FANTASY VUELTA" (VUELTA FANTÁSTICA 2004).

The 4th Fabio's Fantasy Vuelta (Vuelta Fantastica) is a Fantasy Game, an all-out battle among Virtual Teams, an alternative and pleasant way to enjoy the 2004 Vuelta a España (Tour of Spain). Everybody is invited to take part in this competition, set to start on Saturday, September the 4th, 2004, and finish, along with the race itself, 22 days later (Sunday, September 26th). Main Details

The 4th Fabio's Fantasy Vuelta is a Fantasy Game of Virtual Teams, each of them consisting of 9 riders, selected among the ones taking part in the real Tour of Spain 2004. Fantasy Vuelta Players are also asked to choose 3 Trade Teams among the 21 taking part in the Spanish event.

All rules to follow when selecting both your teams and riders are explained in the Rules section.

Thanks to the performances of your selected Riders and "Trade Teams," your Virtual Teams will earn "virtual points," both after every stage and at the end of the race. All the details concerning the points are available in the relative Scoring System section.

The Virtual Team with the highest score at the end of the game will become Overall Winner of the "4th Fabio's Fantasy Vuelta".

The prize? The VIRTUAL (but IMMENSE) honour of being proclaimed ABSOLUTE WINNER of the "4th Fabio's Fantasy Vuelta". And of course ... the right to go to the nearby store, buy a bottle of Champagne...and celebrate with that!!! But the fun is 100% FREE...

Note: Tyler Hamilton update: Latest news is that while Hamilton's Olympic B test has been dropped, both of his A and B Vuelta samples have come back positive. And as the game rules clearly state that any rider failing any anti-doping test during the race would be deprived of all his points, that's what is likely going to happen to the American rider, and all Virtual teams featuring him as "A" pick.
