Three Team TIBCO riders to race in the UCI Road Worlds
Team TIBCO’s Haeusler, Kiesanowski, Spath to race UCI Road World Championships this Saturday, September 28.

With Team TIBCO’s continued success in the U.S. and abroad this season, it’s no surprise that three of the Team’s riders will represent their country at the UCI Road World Championships set for Saturday, Sept. 28 in Italy. Claudia Haeusler (GER), Joanne Kiesanowski (NZL), and Melanie Spath (IRL) will all take to the start on Sunday as they race for their countries and vie for the coveted World Championship title. Shelley Olds was selected to represent the United States but withdrew due to injury.

The world's top riders will race 140 kilometers in Tuscany, closing out the race with 5 laps on a 16.2-kilometer circuit in Florence. Three climbs punctuate the circuit, including a 4.37 kilometer trek up to Fiesole that pitches up to a 9% grade. The punchy Via Salviati is 600 meters, reaching 16% near the top. The final kicker on the circuit is very short, maxing out at 10%.

Universal Sports will provide LIVE television coverage of the Elite Women’s Road Race on Saturday Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Eastern Time).
