Pearl Izumi Tour Series 2013 - Final Result

The 2013 Tour Series reached its climax in Ipswich this week with UK Youth sealing victory in the team competition and Tom Scully taking the sprint jersey


A flurry of three rounds in four days saw Team UK Youth confirm their dominance of the 2013 Tour Series. The team, founded and managed by former F1 GP champion Nigel Mansell, finished the series with the team win in each of the week's final three rounds. The result was first with a commanding 113 points, with Madison Genesis second on 89 points. Rapha Condo JLT was equal wiht Madison on points but was pushed into third after a count back on results.

Tom Scully (Team Raleigh) didn't have to wait unti the final round in ipswich to claim victory in the IG Sprint competition. He sealed the win in that competition in the first of the week's rounds in Woking on Tuesday. The Kiwi was in no mood to coast, and reonofrced his position by taking the final win in Ipswich ahead of Ed Clancey (Rapha Condor JLT) and Alex Peters (Madison Genesis). It gave Scully a final tally of 93 points, with Krisitian House (Rapha Condor JLT) in second with 66 points and Alexandre Bain (Team Raleigh) third on 37 points.
