Women’s Tour of Costa Rica: Stage 2 and 3
Colombian Lorena Vargas of IS Intelligentsia Coffe Cycling Team took the overall lead after completing the individual time trial this morning at the Women's Tour of Costa Rica. The individual time trial passed through the community of Puntarenas.

Vargas will take over the lead in the general classification after being second in Stage 1, with a time of 24:36. While the Lithuanian Inga's squad Pasta Zara-Bogeas Manhattan is the winner with a time of 23:59 and the third was the leader until today 25:12 Evelyn Garcia.

As this stage, the Colombian Vargas have an accumulated time of 2:37:50, the Salvadoran Garcia is second at 32 seconds and Cilvinaite is third at 1:01.

The fastest stage time for a Costa Rican goes to Katherin Herrer (Avimil) with 26:07, while Edith Guillen (Cooperservidores Giant) remains the best place local in the general classification.

Mountain Awards, the intermediate sprints and the best U23-23 keep their leaders with Vargas Rodriguez Cassadra (Avimil) and Addysson Albershardt (Garrobo-Texops) respectively.

Stage 3 runs this afternoon, leaving Esparza and arriving at Tioga Hotel, Puntarenas covering 56 kilometers in which a sprint prize will be awarded.
