2nd Energiewacht Tour - Stage 4A
Kirsten Wild wins first part of fourth stage in Energiewacht Tour. AA Drink rider solos to the win after an attack in the final 2 km. Teutenberg and Vos complete podium. Vos retains in overall lead.
Kirsten Wild has won the first part of the fourth stage in the Energiewacht Tour. In the 71 km stage in and around Winsum The AA Drink-Leontien.nl rider attacked with 2 km to go to hold off her 10 break companions by 7 seconds. Ina Teutenberg and Marianne Vos sprinted to second and third followed by Judith Arndt, Ellen van Dijk, Adrie Visser, Romy Kasper, Loes Gunnewijk, Chantal Blaak, Trixi Worrack and Iris Slappendel. The bunch finished over 10 minutes down and was led home by Evelyn Arys. Marianne Vos retains the overall lead. The second part of the fourth stage is a 26,5 km team time trial.

In the first of five laps of 14,2 km each eleven riders broke clear in the very windy and cold stage including Vos, Slappendel (Rabobank), Wild, Blaak (AA Drink), Kasper (RusVelo), Gunnewijk, Arndt (GreenEdge), Teutenberg, Worrack, Van Dijk (Specialized-Lululemon) and Adrie Visser (Skil Argos. Several riders are Lizzie Armitstead, Lucy Martin, Annemiek van Vleuten and Clara Hughes tried to bridge across but didn't succeed.

The eleven extended their gap lap by lap from 4.20 halfway through the race to over 10 minutes in the end. With 2 km to go Kirsten Wild launched her decisive attack after attacks from some others as Arndt and Kasper were neutralized.
