Eusebio Unzúe, general manager of the Spanish team, declared that “if the beautiful victories we obtained in 2008 and the first places in the world ranking (individual and team) were a great satisfaction for us, they oblige us to do at least the same in 2009. Beyond the results we obtained, we can also underline the respect of our commitments on the ethical level and the perfect spirit of solidarity our riders showed. The team 2009, with four young and promising riders, will try again to be the best one in the races in which it takes part.”

The leader of the Spanish team, Alejandro Valverde, expects much of the new season: "Personally, my preparation and my goals are somewhat different from those of last year, as I will focus mainly on the second part of the season . We introduce ourselves with a very strong team, strengthened by the arrival of several very talented riders, which is very important for the work to be done throughout the year so that the team is present in all races of the calendar and earns the trust of our sponsor, Caisse d'Epargne.

El Equipo ciclista Caisse d'Epargne se presentó este miércoles 28 de enero en la sede social de la Caisse d’Epargne en París.

Eusebio Unzúe, manager general del conjunto español, declaró que “si las bellas victorias obtenidas en el 2008 y las primeras plazas en la clasificación mundial (individual y por equipos) nos han dejado una gran satisfacción, ellas nos comprometen a conseguir por lo menos lo mismo en el 2009. Más allá de los resultados obtenidos, se puede igualmente subrayar los compromisos respetados sobre el plan ético y el excelente espíritu de solidaridad demostrado por nuestros corredores. La plantilla 2009, que podrá contar con la llegada de cuatro jóvenes corredores, intentará ser nuevamente protagonista en todas las carreras en que participará.”

L’équipe cycliste Caisse d'E[pargne été présentée ce mercredi 28 janvier au siège social de la Caisse d’Epargne à Paris.

Le leader de la formation espagnole, Alejandro Valverde, attend beaucoup de la nouvelle saison: “Personnellement, ma préparation et mes objectifs seront un peu différents de ceux de l’année dernière, vu que je me concentrerai principalement sur la seconde partie de la saison. Nous nous présentons avec une équipe très forte, renforcée par l’arrivée de plusieurs coureurs très talentueux, ce qui est très important face au travail qu’il faudra réaliser tout au long de l’année afin que l’équipe soit présente dans toutes les courses importantes du calendrier et mériter ainsi la confiance de notre sponsor, Caisse d’Epargne.”
