The Design of Columbia-HighRoad's New Team Jersey is explained
On display for the first time at the recent Columbia-HighRoad team launch was the new team jersey. Out goes the blue of 2008 in comes a yellow and white design aimed at achieving a super hero image. As Team Boss Bob Stapleton described, “Everybody knows what the yellow jersey stand for. In our kit yellow is what we aspire to. The white is clean, it’s simple, it’s new, it’s fresh, and it’s also transparent”. Tongue in cheek he did admit to a possible disadvantage to the design. “I think the concern for some of our riders is that when they get wet they might be too transparent, so we are a little nervous about the white shorts!”
